Cap a Westerburg!

Imatge

Carla, 2n Guia, unforgettable experience

Imatge
Probably, if somebody asked me a time in my life in which I was completely happy, my answer would be: Erasmus. I have to admit that I was a little bit nervous before coming to Finland; I didn’t know what to expect, how the weather will be, how people will be, anything.  After more than 2 months here, I can say that I become another person.  The Erasmus marked a before and after. I don’t know how to explain it, but it is a stage in my life that is separate from the rest. Sometimes I feel like it’s a stop in everything, a dream, a vision, a movie, I don’t know. Something far removed from reality, like a break, a dead time (but more alive than any other).  It was not the first time I had spent a season away from home, in another country, with new people and in a language different from mine. But it was not the first time that it was fun, I had to deal with a new job, new friends and real responsibilities to fulfill. I have to say that my idea of Erasmus ...

Waleed Baig, 2n Adifin, final reflection

Imatge
I am writing this as my internship time is coming to an end in Munich. Going to share some final thoughts on this journey. In these 2 months I have grown a lot personally and professionally. I have learned a lot of things except German cause where I am working no one speaks in German. I made couple of friends with whom I roamed in Munich. The difficult part was obviously, the language barrier but if you speak English you can understand some German. At work I had amazing colleagues who helped me a lot when I needed it and I will surely miss them. So, all in all it was a good experience and which I will never forget it. I would also like to point out that the tasks I have fullfilled at my internship are adequate and related to my field of studies. I haven't done anything related to accounting and finance, as to do that, first one needs to have an ample knowledge of German finance and law system and second, be able to speak German, which in my case, ... well you can imagine ...

Farah Haykal, 2n Comerç - final stretch in my Erasmus stage

Imatge
Coming to the final stretch of my stay in Munich, I must say that I learned many things  professionally and personally. L earning some of the German laws and how they deal with international trade shows me the differences that it has with Spain. I have to say that at first people seem much more serious than spanish people, but everything is to know them and see that it is the opposite! They are very friendly and they always offer their help in what they can. Personally, I have realized that it is very important to be always careful and not trust quickly, sometimes there are people who can take advantage of the vulnerability of the person, so you must always be careful!  But in case of not speaking it, it is not a big problem either since most people have a good level of English and they are able to answer any questions. "Getting used to living in a foreign country requires at least six months" is the phrase that one of my colleagues continuously repe...

Farah Haykal, 2n Comerç: My first weeks in Pliening (München), Germany

Imatge
In this experience I have become involved in the world of foreign trade, more specifically in matters of export of products at customs level. I do my internship in a company called Crown, which manufactures and exports equipment for warehouses. The operational part of the company (European Parts Center) in which I am located is located in a small town called Pliening, which is half an hour from the center of Munich. My accommodation is unfortunately an hour and a half from the company, it is difficult to find a stay around the company, since it is a small town. The first day was a very intense day full of nerves, I was introduced to each and every one of the departments that are in the company, I also visited the central and administrative part. They made a small presentation to show me the products that the company sells. As for the colleagues, they are lovely people, they have made me feel comfortable from the first day, they help me if I have dou...
